sambas to acid jazz, you'll find interesting and accessible
music on every show.
Jaz Jackson, your host on Siam Jazz, grew up just outside
Detroit, Michigan. The jazz scene in Detroit has a long and
illustrious history. Elvin Jones, Tommy Flanagan, Yusef Lateef,
Kenny Burrell, James Carter and Barry Harris are just a few
of the jazz legends from Detroit. Jackson learned to love
jazz through his exposure at an early age. In addition to
the players from Detroit he grew up listening to, Jaz will
play artists such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Phil Woods,
Oliver Nelson and Bojan Z to keep your head engaged and your
toes tapping. |
